Secara bahasa Rajab mempunyai beberapa makna yaitu mulia atau agung. Amalan yang sering dilakukan ulama terdahulu dibulan ini yaitu melakukan puasa, shalat sunnah, dan beredekah. <br \/>Bersedekah merupakan salah satu amalan ibadah yang dilipatgandakan oleh Allah. Pada bulan Rajab ini Allah akan membalas setiap amalan kebaikan dengan 70 kebajikan. Beberapa hadis menjelaskan keutamaan bersedekah di bulan Rajab ialah: Pertama, bersedekah di bulan Rajab dapat dijauhkan dengan api neraka. Kedua, barang siapa yang membantu dan menolong orang mukmin yang kesusahan niscaya akan dikaruniakan oleh Allah syurga firdaus. Ketiga, barang siapa bersedekah pada bulan Rajab seperti sedekah seribu dinar, dituliskan bagi setiap helai bulu romanya seribu kebajikan, diangkat seribu darjat dan dihapuskan seribu kejahatan serta dijauhkan daripada api neraka. Keempat, bersedekah dapat memperlancar dan memperbanyak rezeki. Kelima, bersedekah akan memberikan keberkahan di dunia maupun di akhirat. <br \/>sekertariat kami : Jl.
